Abdoul Sow
Sports Photographer & Visual Storyteller

I’m a photographer and digital content creator currently based in Omaha, Nebraska, with a focus on sports, storytelling and capturing the moments that make people feel like they were there.
Currently, I serve as the Social & Digital Media Coordinator for Iowa Western Athletics, where I help tell the stories of Reiver Athletics through photography, video and social media. I’m also a Team Photographer for the Omaha Supernovas, covering professional volleyball throughout the season.
My journey in sports started at the University of Cincinnati, where I spent four years working with Cincinnati Athletics. I began as a photo intern and eventually became a lead photo intern before joining the staff as a Content Specialist. Cincinnati gave me the opportunity to grow as a photographer while covering everything from football and basketball to baseball, track & field and countless moments away from competition.
That experience opened doors well beyond campus. I spent three seasons as an MLB Live Content Creator, primarily covering the Cincinnati Reds while also creating content for visiting teams on behalf of MLB. I’ve also photographed MLB games for the Associated Press and worked as a Live Content Contributor for the NHL.
My work has also taken me across the NFL and college sports, including projects and events with the Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans and the College Football Playoff National Championship.
More recently, I’ve covered the Big Ten Outdoor Track & Field Championships with Michigan State and worked on branded projects with companies including Powerade and BodyArmor.
Photography is still at the center of what I do. Whether I’m on the sideline of a football game, courtside, covering a championship or documenting something completely outside of sports, I’m always looking for the moments that tell the story beyond the final score.
Thanks for stopping by! Now check out my work!
